This handmade green jade magatama necklace blends ancient Japanese symbolism with modern minimalist design. The green jade stone measures 1.3 cm at its widest point, 2.2 cm long, and 8 mm thick, creating a smooth, comfortable shape that fits perfectly in the hand.
A handcrafted gold vermeil bail allows the pendant to gently move and spin, adding a subtle fidget feature that is both calming and tactile. Lightweight yet meaningful, it’s ideal for everyday wear, meditation, or as a thoughtful spiritual gift.
Magatama are curved, comma-shaped beads that originated in ancient Japan and were worn as jewellery for protection, luck, and ritual use. Inspired by my Japanese heritage and love of mythology, I designed this piece to connect the present with the past — a small wearable reminder of history, culture, and inner balance.
